Big trip near Christmas, Where to stop for the night?

My family is planning a trip to my in-laws for Christmas and we are taking our school bus. We know we will want to stop for a night for sleep. I figure Bowling Green, Ky. is about the half way point. We don't want to get too far from I-65. Do you guys have any suggestions? I think I will have a on board battery bank by then, but it would be most reassuring if I could find a place with 110v power. I would imagine that campgrounds don't operate that time of year. We have not traveled with a bus before so I am asking, are there any places that are good to stop with a skoolie?

Some have electric and other stuff and even showers, and others are just spots like walmart that you can get away with one night.
