Cedar Point Trip UPDATE - Lets pick a weekend

I would like to go to cedar point in the next few weeks (trying to plan a trip) do you know if the capground in crdar point allows skoolies? Mine is partly converted inside but the outside is still yellow and looks much like a school bus - although the title says its a motor home

If they dont allow skoolies, do you know any other campgrounds in the aera that do? I only ask because you are from that neck of the woods and figured maybe youd know

thanks in advance.

I'll go!

I'll have to paint my bus again real quick to make it more presentable, winters are really hard on paint!

Ok I called around and this is what I found so far;

Camper Village - campground at Cedar Point Does allow skoolies, even if there still yellow (like mine)
Rates are 50-72/night
no open Saturdays until Aug 27th

Camp Sandusky - less then 10 min form Cedar Point
Allows Skoolies - even yellow ones, she laughed when I asked as if "why would that be a problem?"
Rates are 39/night with 2 adults +$3.00 for each add. adult
thats with water/electric hook up
I talked to Jennifer and told her that there may be a few buses there & she said thats fine.
They still have several openings for Sat. July 30th

1-800-431-7448

Lazy J RV resort
http://www.lazy-j.com
419-483-3177
Allows (converted?) skoolies even yellow ones
they're about 20min from cedar point - said its a "straight shot"
They still have openings for the 30th
Rate is 30/night with 2 adults + 3.50 per add. adult

What weekend works best for everyone? I'm pretty wide open.
Is it poss to move this post to a new topic - say Cedar point trip?

I hope we get a few busses going this could turn out to be fun, I've very excited.

Ok so 2 can go on the 30th does anyone else want to go? I hope we can get a bunch of busses.

can someone who knows how make a new post for a cedar point trip? can you move some of these posts over to it? I think more people would click on it if it said cedar point trip.

Steve are you going to be able to make the trip?

Lapeer said he'd go (that post got left behind)

I think that the camp sandusky sounds like the best bet, its only 10 min form the park, and they seemed to have the least questions about the busses, that lazy J place kept asking me if it was "fully converted" which I'm not sure what she meant, or why she kept asking.

We need to make reservations soon while theres still sights available.

Hmm, Amazingly I would only have to travel 40 miles not on I-80 to get there and would only take about 11 hours in the bus. I'll get back to as soon as I can.

lapeer are you going for sure?
did you call and make reservations yet? which campground were you thinking of staying at? - from what they said on the phone that camp sandusky sounded the best (see prev. post)

maybe we could meet up at the dundee exit off 23 at Cabellas on sat. sometime & leave from there for the campground in sandusky. I'd like to travel with another bus because I've never taken my bus on a somewhat long trip like that.

Anyone else want to go?

I am not going to be able to make it, it would cost me about $300 in gas and since I will be moving the day I get back I should probably have that money for things that I find I will need to buy for my new place. I really wanted to go though.
