I wish we could come. We have been very busy lately with the bus though.

We left Colorado on August 26th for Burning Man, after that we went to Reno for 2 days and South Lake Tahoe for another 2 days. Then up to Seattle for a wedding, now we are traveling the Oregon Coast downward to California for some seasonal work. The bus has been holding up fine aside from a leak or two and a cracked exhaust manifold that leads to lack of turbo.

Do you think this spot will fill up and would they have 40' spots?

It is past the busy summer season so I think there should be spots still available and last time I looked there were still spots that would accommodate 40 feet. Hope to see you out on the plains.

We had a blast!

Turf and Savage

A little bit of the lake

You have to end with a campfire and this one lasted well into the night

As you can see there was room for a lot more buses!

Yes it was excellent and it is excellent to meet in person and see for yourself what other people are doing and trade ideas. Turf is a great guy and so is his significant other. They not only traded ideas but also gave extra parts that helped us out significantly. You can do some of these things on a forum but it is much easier if you meet in person. I would suggest that all areas try to have skoolie gatherings so you can see exactly what other people are doing and make the kind of connections that are really meaningful.

I wanted to get out there. But it wasn't in the cards. The bouldering bus throttle linkage spring broke Saturday, causing the throttle to stick on. Not super safe.

Good point. Be safe, we hope to have a Colorado Skoolie get together every year, so everyone will have a chance to meet and trade ideas.

Hello fellow Colorado skoolies!! I just moved out here a little over 6 months ago to the Montrose area...I would love to come next time there is a get together....I don't know many people yet out here so it would be good for me...I just bought a short bus that was already converted but could use a remodel for sure... maybe I'll luck into a property big enough to host something..I am looking to buy a property next year close to Montrose.. I don't have a huge budget but ya never know what will happen and what I will find... I missed a property here this year that was 110 acres farm for $170,000 I need to sell my property back in Pa before I can get something here..I hope in the spring my old place will sell...

not to tread on Dred's thread, but in addition to it.....

we need to have Colorado Meetup #2

i was thinking a meeting of the buses at Redrocks would make some good pictures and maybe we could catch a concert too.

Wondering if anyone would be willing to show their Skoolie in CO? At the start of a build out and would like to chat about life in a bus.

Is there a Facebook group for CO Skoolie folks?
