You're only 40mi up the road from me in Greenwood! I for sure will stop by (once I have your address), but Johnson County Fair "starts" on the 14th (really its going that weekend before as my daughter shows horses - her last year in 4H and so far none of my boys have picked up the mantle ... ).

Can those of us near Indy get together any sooner? Say, a meet-n-greet at a restaurant somewhere? I'd love to put faces with names (heh, I'm better by far with faces than names...).

We will have to organize something.

We thought about getting horses but it was too much to take on right after the move down here. So my daughter joined 4H for the dog activities.

We ,hopefully, have a batch of golden retriever puppies on the way.

We are getn pretty bored going from truck stop to rest area to wal-mart to Menards every night. Full time is boring around here in the winter!!

We are still quite a ways out. I’m not too worried. Prep will be a couple portapotties. I hope to round up some fire rings ahead of time.

I have a lot of other things on my plate. I have 900 pine and spruce seedlings to plant. There are a lot of open fields here and I’m planting a windbreak all the way around.

I also have a couple of big old trees to take out. They are hollow. And we have a batch of golden retriever pups due any day now. Should get interesting around here.

A meet up ahead would be fun. Have to figure out a good weekend.

And we are probably too busy this weekend as my son and nephew are home on spring break through this weekend and we are welding up a forge. He wants to get into blacksmithing.

Are you keeping track of people attending yet? We for sure are going to try to make it and will be in the Midwest during that time period.

The only tracking I have is on the Facebook event site that says 4 are going.

If you didn’t register there you would be #5

We are going to the chain o' lakes one the following weekend. Looking at if it would be reasonable to go to both but seems unlikely right now.

Miltruckman is your bus white located just south of Lebanon at the 267 exit? If so I drove by your place today on my way to look at a horse.

Yes, I’m just north of the Loves truck stop.

I‘m busy planting 900 pine and spruce trees all the way around the property this week. The DNR sells them for 38 cents each. I hope to have a decent windbreak in a few years.

Planning to come

miltruckman,

Do you have us down for this event? I dont do much facebooking except for my family. We have plans to be there so count us in if you have not. Drove our bus to Nashville TN and then to Gatlinburg TN over the past week and had a blast. Not one issue and we were more then welcome at the RV park right in middle of the town. Good to see the are not against the skoolies!!

If you haven't reserved a spot it might be a good idea to do it soon. I'm told the spots fill early especially on weekends.

I am still planning July 12, 13, & and 14. We need some sunlight so the ground dries up. It has been so wet here the farmers just got the corn in last week.

I’ll keep you all updated as to conditions. Hopefully it dries up some and the ground firms up.

I took down 5 huge old hollow trees recently and have a lot of wood to move.

Let’s pray for sun.
