Getting on the road soon!

Hey everybody!
We're a family of 6, and this weekend we're taking our skoolie on the road. We're traveling from VA to CO and are looking for any tips, tricks, and parking slots for our bus in this time of year. Any help would be great, this is our first time taking her on a real road trip.
This is our route:
VA->TN->KY->IN->MS->KS->CO

Thanks guys!!!

Stops

I picked rest stops and such that were at the top of the hill. My bus is so slow up a hill from a stop. Snow/ ice west of Denver is pretty common this time of year. I am in Topeka, just off I70.

Cheers

In case you're not aware of them yet, check out freecampsites.net, campendium.com and hipcamp.com. Those are where we've found the bulk of our campsites while we traveled. They've got good user reviews that will often show how big the sites are and whether you get a cell signal or not. In general National Forest campgrounds, state parks and county parks usually had pretty good sites. We found a great county park in Brownstown, IN in the Jackson-Washington State Forest if you're passing through that way. There seem to be a lot of roadside city or county parks in the midwest that are good for one or two night stops.
