And it's finally busting loose. Maybe another week and possibly home for Christmas.

I believe so? Really handicapped by lack of Spanish but I've seen the chrome bumper, and I assume a side piece under the windows, hopefully the window frames too. All LEDs and signboard. Mirror tint.

I thought about having my side bumpers chromed out. Dunno if it will be too much or not visually, there's a lot of bumpers.

Getting closer

Lights going in. Crazy wig-wags on a switch to stay legal. Led signboard not yet installed. Apparently it programs by bluetooth. Not going to use the prison mesh. White strip under the windows and between cowl and body is protective plastic over chrome. Roof rack will be same blue as the body paint. Thinking gold in between the blue and white on the hood top. Won't be done by Christmas but its worth the wait.

Love the white dash. I may do that too. Mine is black like everyone elses but the black paint is so dirty looking in mine, I need to paint it.

This is what these guys do. All day, every day.

The aftermarket parts - roof racks, body and interior dress-up pieces, hood modifications, etc aren't available in the US. Modifying buses is their culture, like hot-rodding is in the US.

I do wonder what the snooty rv parks will make of this.

Interior is bone/off white. Wanted something neutral that might work with Sprinter executive conversion seats and as much Ikea stuff as I can get away with. Unsure of interior layout at this point but want to seat 4/sleep 4 with 2 separate bunks. Probably one permanent bunk and a fold-down bunk in the rear for cargo flexibility.

Well, it seems the translation failed and we'll be wearing the jail armor back. From what I've read it may help with vandalism though I do not intend to be near vandals. Interior stairwell metal in process. Roof rack mounts welded on, hope the translation works here and the rack is the same blue as the body.

I forget, Did your bus come with the jail armor, or is that an upgrade they gave you?!

My bus has jail armor but only on the bottom back window. Not sure why there and no where else.

Yes it did, it was a retired county school bus the Sheriff had armored and never used for transport. I didn't actually want the metal put back on but since Don Saul and I communicate with a phone translator, some things get misunderstood. Oh well.

It was a 135,000 miler with a 5.9, did the A2000 swap before the trip down.
