Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!

Looks like a cool place, but all I saw was mention of portapotties. They don't say anything about showers and bathrooms. Maybe I didn't look hard enough.

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!

I think I might have to be out this year. I recently acquired a L31 motor so now I have another project to work on. With the limited funds afforded to my recreation thanks to college I can only do so much in a year. I will know more in a few months I guess.

Camp Zoe has Men's and Women's showers, restrooms (real ones), they have a restaurant which we could see if they would open it for us, a place for a HUGE bonfire at the top of the hill, a couple of beaches, caves, payphone, ATM, and all the beauties that only our Mother Earth can provide.

If Camp Zoe ends up being the place, we would be more than happy to provide any assistance in setting up the event.

Happy Holidays!!!

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!

Camp Zoe looks beautiful! Sounds good to me. Anyone thought up a date yet? Spring, Summer, Fall? I'm going to try real hard to attend if the date doesn't conflict with something. My wife and kids might not want to go if the bus isn't close to "finished" yet, so it might just be me and Brinkley (the chocolate lab) he's always ready for an adventure.

Did a little more reading on the camp zoe website. Looks like we would want to try for a non-festival weekend, unless you guys want to be around 10000 other people for a "getaway"

Would a gathering have the possibility of being a sausage fest?

I wonder, would you mind talking to the camp zoe folks and finding out when the best weekend would be. If it's not too much trouble.

I don't know what path this will take but it won't hurt to get some dates.

Well I vote for Camp Zoe too! Sounds like a cool place. Plus, we just need to agree on a location so we can start looking at dates! What town is Camp Zoe in again? Where ever it is, my bus and I will be there! Hopefully.

The problem with spring break is that it's at different times all over the country. So if you're wanting to bring the kids, I'd say it would have to be after mid-June sometime.

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!

I think some kids around the country don't get out until June sometime. I have a cousin that lived in California and she never got out of school until June sometime. But that's California for you. They're screwed up out there! I'm thinking June would be a good time. It won't be too hot, and all the kids will be out of school. The kids go back in August. August in Missouri probably is about as comfortable as it is in Oklahoma.

Re: Lets start planning a gathering for 2008!

I got camp zoe's phone # off of google earth of all places. I'll give them a call, it looks like June is looking good according to the website. I'll just tell them that I am representing "us" and find out what I can.
