You made it! Cool. How did the bus run?

Ran amazingly. Plenty of power, 9mpg on a new engine, not too bad.
Only issue is I feel like the transmission allows the engine to go to low in rpm, sometimes if I don't floor it (I like to stay around 80% load climbing a hill) it waits to reach around 1000rpm to shift.

But I love the wide ratio of the transmission.

You can just push a button and change it. I have to pull a darned lever.

Right. But still, I expect it to be reasonable and act as an automatic gearbox.

Where is peak torque on that engine?

1250 lb-ft @2000 rpm. I didn't find the curve.

That seems way high. But who knows.

I'd like to find the torque curve. The 450hp version from an RV has an almost flat torque curve from 1250 rpm.

I like driving a diesel with a flat torque curve but, that went out of style in the late 70's thanks to the maxidyne from mack.

Correction, it is 1250 lb-ft at 1200 rpm (not 2000).
