MI to TN this weekend, any cool places?

Our skoolie has been on short trips around Michigan, but this weekend we are driving down through Ohio, Kentucky, then into Tennessee. Wondering if there is anything exciting and easy to park at! between Lexington, KY and Roan Mountain, TN. We are stopping to see the Ark Encounter but then have a few hours on Monday to visit somewhere, maybe the Daniel Boone National Forest? If anyone has any ideas to share, we would appreciate it!

The Jack Daniels distillery is about an hour and a half SE of Nashville.

I'm not sure how close these are to the area you're going to, but Ruby Falls, Rock City, Inclined Railroad and the Parthenon are all nice, family-friendly places I've been to in Tennessee.
