Out In The Bus
I retired on Friday and took the Crown out to the Crest RV for a day of relaxation and a chance to enjoy all the work of converting. Here I am in the middle of all the fancy rigs and all the neighbors wanted to tour and ask questions. They were nice people who welcomed the skoolie.

Re: Out In The Bus
you got a love it! ,you meet a lot of nice folks when they see a different rig in the park, just goes to show that its the people that own the rv parks that dont want skoolies. Iv always had other rv owners come by and chat about my bus, even have a beer with then.
looks good, and again , have fun with retirement!! (I'm considered semi-retired) cant wait for full!!

Re: Out In The Bus
Your Crown is one nice looking skoolie. Your only problem might be that the S&S crowd becomes so jealous they run you out of the park,

Going to relax for a few, and substitute teach in our local schools when I get tired of doing nothing Just want to take a little slower pace for now and get out on the road more often in the bus

I'll be there John...looking forward to it! The bus is in need of a trip over the Tehachapi mountains...she's getting restless not being able to stretch her gears

Re: Out In The Bus
Wow, I've missed this thread too. Also, congrats on retirement. 19 more years and it will be my turn. If I were to get rid of my bus, a crown like yours would be first on my list. Great lines, and you did a great job on the conversion. Unfortunately, I've never seen one in Iowa. But, I would be willing to travel to find one.

Re: Out In The Bus
John, looks like I will make it to the Buses Gone Wild thing.
Had to go to Anaheim this weekend to help work at the California Southern School Bus Roadeo. I stayed at the Anaheim RV Village across from Disneyland and they are very Skoolie friendly. Nice place to spend the night, and you get the added show of the fireworks from Disneyland at night...and boy are they LOUD Some of them shook the ol Crown as they exploded overhead.
