Cabin Bus !! That's what I couldn't make-out in first pic. That is too cool- Beautiful live siding.

And Cows- who knew they had cows in Florida. We figured it was all just orange groves.

After meeting everyone, I totally read your username as CannaBus. I've never seen so many ... tomatoes in one place.

Great meeting everyone. Maybe next time I won't be in a rental.

Well, that's a hell of a way to thank him. Good thing he didn't overhaul the engine or something!!

It's Michaele; neither her nor her momma know how to spell so no worries. Woot Woot... good thing that CT didn't show. If this is a yearly event, I'll definitely be in the bus next time. If it's only Spring then maybe not.

You need something up top where it used to say school bus. Your red would go well with silver.

Being funny or no?

FL is BIG cattle country. In central FL you can still buy a 1,000 acres at a $1,000 per acre. It's not good for much other than cattle ranches. Paper companies are big too. A paper company (St. Joe) is/was the largest private land owner in the state of FL.

Cracker is a term that originated in FL. A FL Cracker was a cattle rancher. The cracker part was from them cracking the whip while herding cattle. It wasn't quite a derogatory way back when. There is now a beer named FL Cracker.

What a kickass time I had at the gathering even though I did it in the midst of moving out of an apartment lol.
So glad to see sandi got a co pilot seat in the bus!!

Skoolie gatherings and bus rallies I attend always have the coolest people!!!

I drove last night to just north of charlotte. Today I'm now almost back to Columbus .

Thought there might be more color in the mountains but I'm just a week or so early.. still a beautiful day to travel. Had to use the heat this morning! It was 46 out.

That's good news for us, since the trip revolves around the leaves changing. We're headed into SC, trying to get to VA for the night.

the farther north you fo you should drive right into the colors.. so as you hit the mountains of new york , vermont, maine, etc you should be going right in.. its been a warm fall up north so far.. but with some cool nights and warm days that should pop the colors out.. as liong as it doesnt hard freeze..

after I got out of florida I hit NO rain.. coming from charlotte today its been bright sunshine the whole way and very little wind.. comfortable temps..

Late last week was the first decent temps of the year. Supposed to be like this for another week.

Comfortable enough not to need heat!! Michaele and Michelle (my daughter) wouldn't let me open the windows last night. The only reason the heat was on in the car this morning was for the defrost. Once it cleared, it went right back to cold.

I gotta get my bus done and up to AK.

Lol well I didn't use the heat except for the 46 degree morning.. it was nice windows open and sunshine for the late morning and all afternoon. I suppose I should eat.. I'm terrible about not eating enough. Probably why I have no insulation to stay warm!

Come to think of it, you said that was a Win 10 tablet. Did you have to backfit the GPS or do they come that way these days?

TIA

that tablet on the far left is an ipad mini, its the cellular model (even thiouygh not activated) so it has the real GPS chipset in it.. im running CoPilot Truck..

it seems pretty good, it doesroute me around low bridges and such, I triedit against a couple known areas .. ive run it alongside google maps before and I can say that sometimes it chooses a wierd exit now and then.. or will sometimes get North / south mixed up for a route.. ie (exit route 85 North..) which the exit for I85 will be for north and south. but it only says north.. then after you make that main exit.. the route splits north south. and it then would say 'South').. Ive run into that a couple times..

it does let you do a custom vehicle profile (height width weight) which is nice..

I say overall its an 8 out of 10, the traffic feature on it is a paid feature and uses real internet traffic and is pretty accurate.. as opposed to an RDS trasffic receiver which was useless..

This is great! Thanks everybody for posting pics I'm so glad you all had a good time. I wish I could have made this one but I'll definitely be there for the next!
Now THAT'S a real bonfire!!It's only done right if you have to look up at it ;)
How's your toe CB? hehehe, not funny but funny lol. I'm gonna take a wild guess that you weren't wearing shoes ;) On a lighter note, so glad you now have a co-pilot chair Sandi. It'll surely make the trip more fun.

While its true I don't wear shoes much, I definitely don't wear em in someones HOME!
The feet of school bus chairs are not kind to pinky toes.
