Went to the Grand Canyon from Mesa in AZ and spotted 3 skoolies! 1st was a midsize dog nose in new river, don't remember the color. 2nd was driving @ the Park, RE full length red with white roof and the 3rd was in Valle on Santa Clara rd next to my friends farm, also full length RE, color was gray with a white roof.

Was laid up in my crappy hometown in KS and saw a dark blue bus at the Casey's. I was really surprised and excited and accosted him, which he was quite pleased about. Invited us to follow him home and meet his family. Turns out the bus was Steve, the prop bus from the movie Captain Fantastic. They saw it for sale and went to LA to pick it up and use it as a camper mostly.

Maryland skoolie seen on the Eastern Shore

August 23, 2020 while driving back to Virginia from Kentucky, I saw a skoolie on US 50 eastbound coming in to Salisbury, MD, and followed it around the bypass until it took the exit to go towards Ocean City, MD. It took the exit, I kept going towards home.

It was a Thomas rear engine, painted black with a white roof, LED signal lights, screen over some of the windows. I saw the silhouette of a kid through a window as it passed me at one point. It was hitting 73MPH on the bypass for a short time.

I did notice that it had something blowing out under the engine in a spray, approximately center to just right of center. It also had some oil spots on the engine compartment door. I think it's worth checking everything and tightening up whichever oil/hydraulic/fluid thing is leaking.

It looks like a nicely done conversion from the little I could see. It was nice seeing one of these things hit 70+.

This bus had a Maryland tag, but I didn't get the number (nor would I share it in a public forum if I had), as I was too busy driving a stinking van around.

If this is your bus, drop me a line. I'd love to compare conversion notes. I live about an hour and 15 minutes south of Salisbury.

Jim

Not a school bus but this shuttle bus popped up this week behind a church office in town. It has cardboard on all the windows and doors. I am curious...
