The Future of Skoolie Palooza
Hey folks, been mostly absent for awhile, but I think this topic is important. I know many of you know about Skoolie Palooza, and maybe a few of you have even attended. Since I started the first one, but failed to show, several people have contacted me to try to get this thing back on track. After talking with several folks, the path seemed to me to be clear. So I put together a video to let everyone get an idea of what is going if you are not familiar.

Love ya Don!! You're definitely a true OG, homie.
Arizona is way too far for me to go but I love that yall do it.
Just my opinion about those kinda get-togethers.. I like it when its free and no sponsors/vendors. Small run what ya brung meets are more my style.

I would love a meet-up in the eastern highlands...
It would be really cool to experience the different bus builds in the same environment and see how they perform...

swooning women... I love that!
I always envisioned 2-3 events every year.. and it is literally a bus-load of fuel to push a rig across the nation, and I understand the limitations of time, fuel etc.
Maybe too much to ask an event in every state, but maybe a regional thing might work?

As someone who went to the First and Second SkooliePaloozas, I'm glad to see Dredman back on the scene. I remember how bummed I was when I got news of your breakdown in 2017. We also remember the horrible feeling & how tough it was when WE were the ones who broke down just 10 minutes away from Quartzsite with a busted Transmission in 2018.
Planning on going to this year's Palooza and looking forward to meeting new folks and seeing some familiar faces...
I really hope to meet you in person one of these days....hopefully in Arizona this January?
Thank you, Don for the original idea, and thank you for speaking up about the future of this event!

hard to find large areas in the east, might be better to look for private property. Nothing quite like the desert of AZ to spread out. Best thing I can think of back east is big parking lots?

Open, yes.
Flat? Maybe.
If it rains before or during, gonna be a mess.
That is what is SO great about AZ - probably not gonna rain, but even if it does you are parked on rocks and sand.
Kinda thinking - rural fairgrounds, I have seen a lot of those. The county spends some money so folks can have a rodeo, lot of parking, and empty 340 days of the year.

Totally doable -- you will then have some facility fees to cover...
But you'll also have a water source and...

I like the idea of regional get together's..
I wonder if we could generate enough interest to make a Summer meet up in the Northwest?
Oregon, Washington, Idaho or Montana? Plenty of options on locations.

I was thinking it was one of my worst videos?
I do NOT make good videos (I don't hit record) when I am partying and having fun - and that was too much fun!

Just an Idea
I had an Idea for these meets, I sent it to the Skoolie palooza email from the web site.
What about a swap meet.
Ive got a few left overs from my build that I wont be needing. Perhaps a swap meet with skoolie or camper conversion stuff for sale, you never know I might have something someone else could use. Just an idea.

swap meets are great... ive done it in the classic car world for years.. i always bought parts with ideas that then changed or such and many times someone needed said part or wanted to run with the idea i had originally planned so the parts went to good homes.. also obtained good stuff at swap meets..
