Where to Park in the Winter...

Hello All,

My fiance and I will be starting to live in our bus next April. We plan on living in a campground for the camping season (April 1 - Oct 31). However, we are at a loss as to where to stay over the winter. We must stay stationary right now, as my job and his school ties us down. I have searched in our area, Erie, Pa, for year round campsites, but have not had any luck.
If you have any advice or experiences with trying to find a place to park or hookup during the winter, it would be great to hear!

We're looking for a similar setup...long term for the winter (although we're looking in the Southeast US). We've found Hipcamp.com to be a pretty good resource. It's people renting out their private land, sort of an AirBnB, but for land. Best way we've found is to ignore the calendar option, as some of them only book out 2-3 months in advance, so they won't show available spots if you look for December for instance. Otherwise look on Craigslist or ask around of farmers or other spots that have huge tracts of land that might want some extra money for a few months. Good luck!
