I would say that 13227 is the GROSS weight (max loaded weight.) I weighed mine with about as much interior as you have and it was right around 10,500.
My gross is 14,000-so that sounds about right.

Hello Roy,
We live in Brasschaat.
It is about 16Miles from Antwerp.
We only pass Luxembourg when we go on Holiday in France.
I have an American friend who was also stationed in Germany( American millitary base of Manheim).
He is married with the daughter of my best friend.
They are back in the States now and I think they live in Michigan.
When you are coming to Belgium or Holland, just let me know.
Maybe we can meet somewhere

It sure is possible that the weight of the bus in this condition is about the 11000 Pounds becouse it is aready registrated as an rv on the title.
I will see it when I do the homologation and the technical inspection in Belgium.
First we have to go to Germany to the inspection (T.U.V.) to make it a European RV and then we do have to get an invoice paper from the customs.
That is the hardest thing to make the bus legal on the Belgian roads.
In Belgium we have the most stupid rules to have American vehicles on the road.
Every time We are going to the technical inspection with our 2007 Dodge RAM 1500 ,1994 Chevy Van G20, 1973 Ford Gran Torino , they try to find something to make my life miserable.
Always making difficuty's of the American reflectors in the tail lights, angle of the light beam in the head lights, tires, suspention,ect,...
So I can expect some more troubles when we are going with the bus.
But we are going to get lots of information with the local U.S. garages who sale American cars and buses.
I am sure that they will help me with this issue.
It is going to be an new adventure ! ! !

Re: 1995 Ford Eldorado Shuttle bus
Best of luck hitting the road, not everythhing here in America is so great, we do still have Obama in office now!
Maybe that will change soon..
You don't have to wait, just come on over to America, we have it all......
free food, free housing, free cellphones, free money, free utilities,.. ****, you don't even have to get a job..... Obama is paying for everything with money borrowed from China.... and
just pasting it all to our childern and brandchildern to pay back..... plus interest of course......... his motto is pass it on for eternity, Why work when you can be a jerk!
Anyway you seem to be having a good time there so don't wish it all away..... everything is not always what is seems.

Hahaha I know wha you mean with the gouverment stuff.
Same kick in the ass as here in this "hard to find on the map" country below Holland.
Here we pay also for refugees and muslims that don't adapt to our custom living in our rainy land.
But anyway,we try to keep our smile and proud.
We have our wafels, sprouts ,our famous Belgian chocolate and more than 1500 kinds of beer where we are very proud of.
In every country you have positive and negetive things so I am glad with what I've reached in my life.
I keep looking at all your pics and have some ideas of them.
I like the solar power panels, awnings ,chrome wheel covers,ect,...
That's keeps me dreaming harder.
Thanks that I can be a small member in your forum.
It means a lot to me that maybe I am the only Belgian on the site and that you all helping me with the technical aspects of the engine and other stuff.

You have an exciting project but don't jump at the first offer to haul it home. You WILL find someone who is heading your way without a load and he will do the hauling for less than half of the going rate. You will find a bargan--just be patient!
Welcome to SKOOLIE and good luck! Jack

I was thinking of that also.
I have send a mail to Holland, Not so far from where we live.
This firma does tranport all over Europe for those who don't like to drive to go on holiday.
So they put theyre car and caravan on a truck and trailer to send them on the people's destination and the owners go by plane or so.
It sounds stupid(I think it is stupid).
When arrived on destination ,the truck is empty en than I can load the bus if the trailer is strong enough.
Just waiting on a reply from that firma.
Thanks Jack

Re: 1995 Ford Eldorado Shuttle bus
Bitch, bitch, bitch (hope I can say that on SKOOLIE?) it is the American passtime and I wouldn't change it for anything! It is fun to hear of the "stupid" road blocks your government places in your path as you try to build your Skoolie. I expect government is the same everywhere--those who can, do. those who can not, govern
Keep the thread going--and with pictures for those of us who cannot read Jack

Re: 1995 Ford Eldorado Shuttle bus
Hello Jack,
You can say anything to me if you want but I don't know what the administrator's gonna find of the language, Hahahahahaha.
Yes sir, I think also that all governements and ministers do have some stupid ideas and stuff.
Tomorrow we are having election to for our Small stupid country.
Here in our country it is "compulsory"(<------Hope if the word is written OK) to vote.
We will see what is coming out of the election.
Always the wrong party that wins.

That is for sure. We don't have enough people to read the ballot to those who can't read to make it possible
