2 new steers today, $190 ea. 265/70/19.5. Old tires (Doublecoin) were cracking badly. Rears are looking good. Prepping for a 1500 mile trip soon.
Rears are mixed Bridgestones and Samsons.
Fronts are now Americus load range H.

Having a bout with vertigo right now. Hope it's gone soon. Today's day 2.

Don
Be very careful with the vertigo. If the room seems to spin horizontally as opposed to imbalance, it may be a virus that was going around Arizona a couple of years ago.
A client had it and it took 6 weeks to get better. And my brother in law had 2 patients that ended up having heart attacks from violent vomiting.
Just watch your symptoms and be careful

Thanks for the vertigo info. This episode feels jut like others I've had. My Teeter inversion table really helps with the fluid redistribution. Much better today, day 3.

On a side note, our cat Spooky is a long hair and we've always assumed a she. Well yesterday HE was grooming I managed to see the parts that identify. Spooky is a neutered male. Plus he's been marking turf outdoors lately so I kinda figured.

Much better. One dose decongestant, a NAC capsule and one Butterbur and I'm good to go.

Yes, even AZ gets hurricane effects. M-T-W-T we are supposed to get some heavy rain from Rosa. Nothing like you coastal folks get but there's a flood watch in effect. We live near a creek and it has flooded before.

Ya...be careful out there. I'm sure you know it but desert areas are more prone to flash flooding than most folks imagine. 3" rain in an hour here in Houston goes unnoticed. In the desert it can bring a wall of water 8' high blasting through an arroyo.

True. The deserts can be treacherous. We are in the mountains at 4000ft, Riparian they call it

I have to go to my sisters in Palm Springs Nov.10 to reroof her house. She is worried about it being "the rainy season." I didn't think there was one in southern Calif. She just sent me a video of the flash flooding that was produced from 1" of rain. When I lived in Ca. back in the 70's we got 2" of rain in 5 minutes, that was fun.

On my pre-trip under the bus inspection I found a u-joint that looked....funny... The seals are cleaned off and you can see the old grunge ring. Disassembly showed nothing unusual.
I went ahead and replaced it for peace of mind. 2 hours labor by me.

Home at noon after 1300 miles. Everything worked ('cept the driver )

Pics later, first I've got to re-grade our driveway so I can park the bus after we got stuck trying to leave for our trip. Been raining here a lot. 18in. in 12 mo. Usually 6-8ish.

On our trip we had a diesel air heater malfunction do to soot buildup. My fault for skipping a PM on it before we left. We got by with 2 Little Buddy Heaters, not the best solution.
I decided to add another heat source for redundancy.

I got a 20,000btu Suburban and built a propane storage area under the bus. The furnace is not in yet but the propane is. Holds 2 5g bottles.

Touch up paint soon.

Thank you for sharing. I have the same model bus and tires and were looking for ideas on tire pricing. Same symptom, the steers are cracking badly.
