My daughter bought a Ford E450 handicap shuttle bus to convert, and after pulling the rubber, the back section of plywood was pretty badly water damaged. She started tearing out the rotted plywood last night and found that there isn't any metal under it???
So what do we do now?
a) Have sheets of steel welded in? then insulate and plywood?
b) Put down a new layer of marine grade plywood, then insulate and another layer of plywood?
Also, there were these really big washer/grommets that were bolted down through the rubber and held on by a nut and a 3 inch wide washer under the bottom of the bus. Is this what was holding the plywood down? ORRRR is this holding the box of the bus down onto the frame rails?
