Tango your build is really awesome. I can't wait to see this fine example of a skoolie hit the streets.

BJ --- Free RUM actually.
John --- Thanks...I'm getting itchy myself. This thing has gone on too long already.
Christopher --- Bring it pardner! I will be more than happy to trade either welding or a large bar tab (or both) for some of your technical expertise. And there are a bunch of Houston area Skoolies also ready to share a little Texas hospitality.

I'm supposed to be in the bus on my way back right now.
I've not worked or anything in nearly a week. This cold I've caught is horrible.

Ouch! Hope you knock it out soon bud. A real shame to miss the shakedown cruise bringing that beauty home.
Here's hoping you get to feeling better soon.

yuickers!!! sounds like you got the real 'FLU' and not the "flu" everyone always says they have when they have a cold.. drink tons and tons of water and stay down - thats the best way to beat it... that crap has been making its rounds up here in ohio for a month now.. im guessing the snowbirds have brought it to florida as november first is a popular time for people to start the migration...
catching and getting over it tends to harden your immune system so you will likely be golden the rest of the season!!!

My doctor told me once...
"If we do nothing, this could hang around for three days. But if you spend the money on pills and a shot, we can knock it out in 36 hours".

Thanks David. My apologies for dragging this out so long though. Never meant to make a novel out of this thread.
Hmmm...but maybe at some point I can sell the movie rights.

Don't feel bad, I have had a crusty but runnable 55 Power Wagon since 2006 and it has just sat there 'seasoning' since I parked it. At least you are making progress!!
Curious why your Portland artwork has not shown up on the bus yet? Bumper?
Good Luck

I have discussed an all concrete "Art Car" with my buddy who runs the Art Car Museum. We decided the weight would be an "issue".
He is, however, hosting a "Rat Rod Xmas" special on December 9th. If you are in the area...it is NOT to be missed. Should be great fun.
I told him he will be forever known as "the guy who put the "X" back in Xmas.

Another week of waiting --- Spent all of last week on a sculpture project only because I am pretty much on hold on the bus until I get a couple of items back from being fabbed. The final work on the doghouse is being completed by a sheetmetal shop...and the bellcranks for my steering are being fabbed/machined by a car builder buddy. Oh yeah...and my maple dash is back at the woodworker to get the hole for the shifter cut out more cleanly than my gear (and woodworking skill) would allow.
I had hoped to at least make some serious progress on this new sculpture this week but now the weather is not cooperating. With nothing else to do for a few days, I guess I'll concentrate on organizing my sock drawer.

Sock drawer organization should always be a priority for those considering the bus life.

To roll...or fold??? Sort by type...or color??? Or both!!!??? And what to do with all my tropical themed, multicolored pair with parrots and monkeys and palm trees? There are serious issues to consider here.
