Tango.....
I only know you from this site, and have only shared words a few times. The minute I found your build thread I spent a long time in one sitting going from beginning up to just a couple of months ago. The inspiration alone that I have gotten from your build is crazy. I have family members, and multiple friends that do or have done things like your build. Each and every one of them I have created a special friendship with. I haven't met you. I have only known of you through here for not even a year. But...... From how you have addressed any other skoolies here, new or well seasoned, and from the passion you show in creating your build...... I'm willing to bet that you would fit right in with the previously mentioned group. There's just something about how you come across here that says you're one hell of a person. And I'm quite sure by far I'm not the only one who would think that. With that said........ Keep the fight going. Miracles happen all the time. You have who knows how many here that have you in their thoughts and prayers. Hell, I don't know you and you're in mine.

Impossible to improve upon that sentiment, especially the "class and style' part.

And, like dred said.......this is hard news to swallow.

I'm another one who doesn't know you (except to know we have a shared past in antiques), but has benefited hugely from your wisdom on this site. As others have said, miracles happen all the time. I recently happened upon some info on a clinical study of radical remission cases; I'll keep you in my thoughts and imagine you on the other side of this, being studied to see how you came through it.

I realize that I sent my reply (via phone) early this morning, only to find it was sent to the no reply link. (my dumb ass)
My heart aches.
After sharing an afternoon, at Rehab, with you and a few other Houston Schoolie guys I knew you were a force to be enjoyed. Since my stroke I am not in any condition to do much work, but if you continues with your dream, I will help in any way I can.
Need a ride to the VA, or anywhere else, just ask and I'll be in town asap.
Prayers of strength, for you, my friend.

As a friend has said many times before,
Onward.....and if I may add, Upward

Wow...what can I say? I am deeply moved by the many kind words you folks took the time to share.

My very sincere thanks to you all.

I do plan on fighting this through to whatever end the fates have in store and have not given up hope in some miraculous breakthrough cure. And I will continue to participate in this extraordinary community for as long as I can.

I have brought in a helper to try and get this rig driveable as quickly as possible and will continue with my updates as always, even if on a slightly reduced schedule.

All my best to everyone here.

Howdy All --- I managed to put in nearly two hours straight working on the bus today before I collapsed. Cut and welded a few more pieces onto the roof rack and added a small diamond plate top step for the stair system.

Can't begin to tell you how much I HATE the effects of the chemo. I am accustomed to working 18+ hour days but with all this rat poison in my system I can barely do anything for more than an hour before I have to sit or lay down. Just really pi$$es me off.

Gonna try it again tomorrow. Have to keep moving. Will also try and get a couple of pix while I'm at it (if there is anything worth showing).

ONWARD!

Hey Tango, you probably have, but have you done any research on alternative treatments?? I know there's a lot of "fake" stuff out there and I've seen what that chemo does to someone.

Atta boy. If 2 hours is what you've got then two hours is all you need to ask of yourself!

Maybe once the Fanta Girls arrive they'll be able to take some pics--like on an old time Snap-On calendar sprawled across the front fender of your bus. Jack

And those Snap On girls are tough. You won't catch me welding in no bikini.

Give it hell, sir.

Wonder of wonders! Managed to get another 2-1/2 hour day in today! Still feel horrible but feeling like crap while you are doing something beats feeling like crap while doing nothing. Might try for a third day in a row manana. All I have left is grinding some welds...then I can flip the roof rack over and finish the welds on bottom.

A little here, a little there...

I WILL complete this SOB!
