Good price but those bad boys are serious overkill for my little porch. Picked up the pipe & all-thread today. Should have pix before too long.

And I think I have a plan for the stabilizers. It is pretty simple...some all-thread, a length of pipe and a couple of nuts. That way, each leg can adapt to whatever surface I wind up on. Think Lunar craters. I'll try to get a drawing worked out. It looks doable in my head...but that's the scary part.

Those aren't jacks, this is a jack. LOL.
I have a hydraulic leveling setup off of an old MRI trailer. I just need to pull it off when I get some time.

I just got my rear stabilizer jacks bolted on tonight.i used the Bulldog 12500 lb model and bolted them just behind the rear axle. Between the mud flap and tire.

That is the same location as on my trailer. It's OK for equipment but a crappy spot for a jack if you load a car on the trailer. I will be cutting it off and moving it closer to the front.

Them thar is nice jacks fer little fellers, but I ended up using these intermediate size ones--------. Jack
Thirty five tons each seemed to get the job done.

Are you going to bring a trailer for your lifts when you go camping?

Not really gonna be "jacks". Just adjustable stabilizer/supports. Have one mostly made and hope to wrap up the other today.
I know,I know..."without pix...etc., etc."

Details, details, details --- Seems the big stuff goes fast. It's all the little sh*t that eats yer lunch.

At least both of the deck mounting plates are done. The gray square tube will form the innermost deck support.

4 - 9/16" bolts should hold this sucker in place. At least this way, If I get rear ended (or back into a boulder), I can remove the deck fairly easily. The 3 in a triangle are bolted through 2 - 1/4" plates and the other is threaded in. 3/16th" x 3-1/2" x 2" C-channel will weld where the beveled edges are.

And here is what I came up with for supporting the deck when down. 2 sections of 1" blackpipe with 5/8" all-thread run up through 2 nuts that are welded in place inside the tube. Here it is partially extended...

...and partially closed. They each have 16" of travel so I should be able to adapt to most terrain. The "shiny" spots are where the bolts are welded in. Each will hang from a swivel mount and have a 4" x 5" foot plate on bottom.
Still waiting on my main frame crossmember.
Onward!

Linear is good --- And...self actuation keeps it simple.
