Well...no luck with our friends from China but I did locate one at Bass Tool & Supply. They carry just about everything ever made and are 15 minutes away. Eureka! Back to work.

Not Horrible Fright this time Jack. Empire actually carries a ton a really decent stuff at reasonable prices. HF for me is only when I consider a tool disposable. And Northern Tool is not that much better.
Bass, on the other hand is where I go for the "good stuff"...and when I'm willing to pay the price.

If you look closely.... You can see where I drooled on this one!
Tried to talk him into running Proms with me.... He adamantly passed!
Actually, the forum filter won't let me post what he really said! lol

That '51 was made the same year I was and looks way younger.
Too bad we boomers can't be restored to new condition.

It was a post in one of the Skoolie forums on Facebook. Not much information about it other than the photo.

No, she and her husband decided to have them refinished after all. I do get to take all her granite countertops however. They're getting new ones. So that will save me some coin from having to buy some.

Wrapped one, began another...Project, that is --- Howdy All...got the containment for my water tanks finally in place. Made some last minute changes that (naturally) took an extra day or so. Decided that it might be advantageous to have anything that large screwed down rather than welded in place forever. Of course that meant making a number of tabs, acid etching the slag off, drilling some holes, welding them onto the big box, re-painting the weld areas then waiting for it to dry before screwing it down.
Done.
Then on to getting some wall panels in place. Like everything else on this curvy, old antique, it was not as simple as screwing the marine ply to the walls. Oh no. What with the ever so slight curve the walls have, it was yet another multi-part chore. But, at least I have a start on them.
I had originally planned to simply weld the box to the lower frame but that sounded way to easy so I took a different path.
The rear most bathroom wall will butt pretty much right up against the box.
Just another view.
One chunk of marine ply up...a few more to go. Might do the floor after that.
ONWARD!

You definitely have the patience of Job. Not sure I could deal with all the different curves. So happy for you that things are finally coming together.

I remember watching an old house remodeling crew....
The tape measure guy would holler out "3/4 to zero" or "zero to 3/4"
I watched him several times and figured out everything was 3/4" out of square.
I bet that bus has all kinds of complex angles!

The wood looks good but I'll bet getting all those blue cinder blocks to fit the side windows was a real exercise in geometry--not to mention masonry! Ha. Jack
