Hey guys just wanted to introduce myself and post my bus. My names Chris and I live in Santa Monica, CA
Been a van enthusiest my whole life. I have a dodge conversion van as well which I love but ever since I was a kid I always wanted a 4 wheel drive mini bus to convert into a camper. Now I have one and my life is complete haha.

Here she is
1' GMC 1 Ton Van Chasis with school bus conversion.
4 Wheel Drive
Rebuilt 350 and Tranny
Working School Crossing Lights
30 gallon electric sink and shower
Propane Stove
External and Internal Outlets
2 Beds with storage Under them, both beds become one for a full size bed
Rediculous Front Bumper with winch mount
Nice Stereo and ton of other stuff

It was a New York School bus most of its life until it was converted into a camper so it has some rust I need to take care of. I have always had california cars so I have never had to deal with rust. There is a small section of the front section of the frame that is rusted out pretty bad. What do you think the best way to repair this would be? Thanks

I fixed the frame by wire brushing out all the rust and repainted it then welded some plate steel all around it to reinforce. Now onto replacing all the front suspention bushings.

It is a step you see there. They put that there so the kids would be able to get in the bus easier. The put a handle on the door just like a full size bus and they wire the door handle up so you don't need to use the handle on the door to open them. Very easy to undo and put a seat back in there.

The only problem with this type of bus now is they stopped making them that way. I would like to get one of them buses with dual rear wheels on the back with this type of front door set up but I don't want to go too old on them or one wih too many rust holes.

Hi Chris. I've been looking for a 4x4 lifted mini bus just like this one. Came across your post and I wondered if you still had yours and if by any chance you were looking to sell?
