Brand new motor! Wanna race?

Well, it wasn't by choice, but The Big LeBUSki is down at Mike's getting an Octuple bypass! I was having compression issues, knocking, and general not-running-wellness issues, so I says to myself "self, let's get this looked at". I agreed with me and took her in. He was sure it was simply head gaskets, which made sense, so I gave him the keys, and consent to touch my bus "down there".

Three hours later I get a call… cracked piston and burnt cylinder (not same location either!) Today he started the transplant process, says it'll take a few days. I'm in my office with a tissue clutched in my hand, looking at a recent picture of her, waiting for his call…

Good news is I will be inspired to go EVERYWHERE! So I'm about to spin the globe in my studio and jab a thumbtack in randomly and hope it is within the continental US… and start packing.

New 350, full tank of high octane, cooler full of other-than-soda, and I think the beach is only a days drive… I'll let you know how the procedure goes.

When I get it back I'll know I'll be shouting "This is my bus! There are many like her but this one is mine! Without my bus I am nothing! Without me my bus is nothing!"

(name that tune)

Marines been singing that tune for generations, you are going to be singing tune but with a difference you will have a smile stretching ear to ear. you wont see a marine singing the tune with a smile ear to ear.

That's why I went Navy! I smile too much to be a Marine... but when the shi t gets bad I want one of those non-smiling Marine right beside me (or even a little out front would be good!)
