Has anyone put in a bench seat?

What about a bench seat? Like from an old truck. Has anyone tried this?

I put one of the original bus seats on the passenger side of the "old Crown but put it back a little from the original front seat position. I mounted a seat belt to the seat for safety. The biggest problem was that the front door was rather drafty. By inserting a length of foam pipe surround it helped. Also a towel at the bottom of the door. In the new Crown I am using tour bus seats that are more comfortable and recline. The passenger seat will have one of the seats removed and the mounting frame shortened (they came in pairs). The door on the new Crown will be re-worked and will not have the draft problem.
