canister under TB?

Maybe a dumb question, but I have never shyed away from asking dumb questions… What is the pressure canister under my bus? Bout two feet long, has a single hose leading up to my engine compartment… Is it an air pressure vessel for a system I don't have or was removed before I got her? It's metal, it's rusty, and it is under the drivers side about 1/3 of the way back. Let the answers flow, my friends!

Year, make & model of the bus would help. What engine? Do you have air brakes?

Is this on your cutaway? As I recall you've got a GM with a gas engine and hydraulic brakes, so it wouldn't be an air system!

I have a gas p30 and it has a similar cylinder and it is for my air/vacuum door.
If you don't have a lever closer that might be it

It has a set of holes on the entry door that makes me think it had a manual closing system at one point, but there aren't any other clues such as floor or doghouse or wall mounting marks, also no existing buttons or knobs that denote any automated opening system. I'll draw a picture of it and send that out to get opinions. My phone is an old Soviet-era flip phone that might or might-not take pictures (I have never taken a picture with it) and I know for a fact I can't download anything from it! It doesn't get emojis, video, or any of that newfangled stuff. The model just before this phone was rotary-dial.

Might get a broom handle with a hook at one end and a cane rubber boot at the other so I can open and close the door from the drivers seat!
