Getting the rear leaf springs redone, they are flat if not negative, One leaf spring weighs 130 pounds on the scale, i found a place about 1 hour away that will custom make or re-arch existing springs. I am going to keep the first 5, & delete the last 6, with the installation of the air bags i have, cant wait to feel the ride after.

What airbags are you going to use? I am doing the same on Elfie. I think about the 3800lbs ones . not so much for the weight but they are supposed to give a softer ride with low pressure.

joeblack5- I have the hellwig e350/cub wagon van. rated for 5000 pounds. I was going to install them last weekend but you know.!! work gets in the way.

other than lawsuit, one can have custom lic plate made n place it above the legal one, or maybe one on each side... just to screw with them

Looked up the helwigs.... It looks like these are installed inside the frame?
Mine, I found on the junkyard, the brackets looked pretty heavy duty, they came of a dually mounted on the outside of the frame. I have a single rear wheel so I will be installing on the outside.
Inside would be nice as well, it would give me a little more articulation that i would like after I have Elfie converted to 4x4.

chev49-i could but it just wouldent be the same as a government issued plate, that will be last resort if i dont get a custom plate i will be happy with.
joeblack5-no kids for me , i traded them for flying.
My airbags sit directly under the frame & the brackets do attach to the inner frame & to top of air bag bracket. Im ready for a new rear end i put of with it as long as possible. Cant wait to see were you take that 4x4..
My waste water take finally came in fits perfectly.

Almost done.
Stove has nubs on bottom, helps keep it in place while in storage.
Strap on action.
Need to put some of that fabric they put on speaker boxes on the drawer, should be good.

Better off with a solid surface than the carpet for under the stove. Absorbs ALL and will become a sticky mess over time.

Thanks, dad does. it is the one thing this whole project my dad didnt disagree with me on. Sliders seemed like the only real way to go.
