Got my floor glued in finally, spent over $100 on this canned spray glue, & rubbed my fingers raw stretching it to get the wrinkles out. BE SURE TO DO IT DURING THE SUMMER MONTH'S when the rubber is all hot & expanded to the max, but it is in I am happy.

The bumper I just primed black for now, im going to eventually spray it with bed line spray, after I add on of them hoopidy doooh dahhs that them yeepers like on their bumpers, as well as another small light bar.
I also have a nice step for when I work under the hood finally.

Finally getting started on my dresser too. it is going be made similar to all my other cabinets but with the diamond plate in the middle.

For my counter top's my dad kept hounding me about this epoxy resin, so I caved in & decided im going to do my counter tops on my kitchen & dresser with some art underneath.
My only problem is deciding what art to lay down below the resin.

The options I am going for:

cadillackid & robin- Thanks it still looks alittle boogery but cant always be perfect. the only issue I see so far is it is kind of thin so if it gets a small rip im screwed,
so I will be putting one of those office mat that go under the chair in the rear & a throw rug for the front.

no way man i dont work that fast i do half a project than stop than smoke the rest of the day & just
think about working hard, but i dont.
That is about a couple weeks of work haha im a lazy **** bag.
But my motivation right now is SKOOLIEPALOOZA

Thought about doing a similar thing 20 plus years ago on my bar top.

Epoxy nickles down [years up] then cover for that smooth finish. I've seem pennies done.... it was USA map on the floor of a house.


Never built the bar when refinishing the basement, moved the fridge to the garage...problem solved.

that'd be my choice for the art. oddly enough...roommates and i used to have that as a poster in a house that we rented years ago. lol

I'm not sure how successful this would be over something like a poster. The resin needs to grab the substrate at close intervals, or it could simply fall off in large slabs.

Pennies would be perfect, as would things like bottle tops or even a jigsaw if the resin could penetrate between the pieces.

redd- My dad want's to do his kitchen table with coin's, I could never do such a thing cause I would rather spend every last dime, nickel & penny on skydiving or Para gliders, after I finish my project. If I run out of money & start feening for a jump I would probably bust my countertops up to get the change any way's.

Burlking- that is hilarious, I was leaning more towards that one too, well that makes three of us for that poster I think we have a winner.

Twigg- I guess I will have to test it out on a smaller poster first, if it doesn't work they print them on canvases as well, so it should be ok when I find the right materials, I still will do more research on the matter.

RUSTY: encasing your rivet's is something you wish you would have done.? I got plenty of nut's & bolt's I wish I was into steam punk.


ECCB: One of these day's I most definitely will, maybe not within the next couple years but stranger things have happened. When I finally do make it to Florida I look forward to you along with the other great members of skoolie to show me around. I think Florida is on the map.
