Cool Chevy 3500 cutaway conversion

So, After kicking around the idea for about a year and a half I took the plunge and bought a shortbus to convert into a cross country travel vehicle. I currently have an Xterra with the passenger area converted, solar, auxiliary battery etc.. but have been wanting to make the jump into something a little more comfortable.

Last weekend I drove a few hundred miles and picked up a 2005 chevy express 3500 cutaway. It's already proving to be an adventure. However coming from an suv conversion and camping background.. I'm super stoked to have some room to work with. I've already been using this forum to dig up a ton of helpful info.

I have a few questions that I'd love to get your opinions on:

1. How hard is it to insulate around an existing rear heater / air conditioner? can you move it out of the way to do floor and ceiling without much hassle?

2. What methods have worked best for insulating over windows, both temporarily and permanent?

3. Any tips and tricks that have served you best for the initial gutting of the interior?

Thanks again!
Justin
