pressure washed it, wiped it down with mineral spirits, used a dry microfiber towel to dry off the excess, Glidden gripper as primer, clean the brush with hot soapy water. The finish was pretty dull so I didn't rough up the paint at all.

How did you clean up the engine bay? Just soak in soapy water and rinse?

I haven't had my computer for a while and I wasn't about to try to post up 20 pics with my phone. Here's the latest.

Left off painting the hood/grill.

Untitled by asdf asdf, on Flickr

Mounted. The hood/hinges seem to be pretty solid. Opens and closes fine and feels really sturdy. I'm happy with it. Beats the 3k they wanted for a new hood. All around probably $300 and a few hours.

Started with the bed frame

Painted some trim pieces.

Got our first snow for the season. Time to move this project along!

Untitled by asdf asdf, on Flickr

Started building the pieces for coops bed.

Mocked up the dressers

Untitled by asdf asdf, on Flickr

Put the bed in.

Untitled by asdf asdf, on Flickr

Coop seems to love it but Tigua doesn't seem too impressed...

Untitled by asdf asdf, on Flickr

Started working on the plumbing next.

You can see off to the right I used the plumbing that went to the rear heater that I removed and connected it to a heat exchanger plate. Now I'll have hot water whenever my engine is hot.

The shower and the inlet are mounted.

Untitled by asdf asdf, on Flickr

I ran a line up to the front to fill up the dogs water bowl easily and be able to hook up a hose to wash our feet etc.

Oh and saw this leaving home depot the other day too. Never ceases to amaze me the moronic **** I see go on at home depot. They were heading towards the highway too...

Untitled by asdf asdf, on Flickr

Started to mock up the cabinets in order to see how the partition walls will be laid out.

Untitled by asdf asdf, on Flickr

Untitled by asdf asdf, on Flickr

Cut the walls

The batteries arrived today. Fragile, what's that, italian? lol Damn UPS I watched him drop it from the truck down to the dolly. I said HEY! wtf man? All his response was, man these are heavy. YEAH and fragile. I wanted to rip the guys head off.

So that's where I'm at now. I'm going to work a bit on the electrical, but I'm flying out to Philly for the week so work is going to be put on hold for a bit.

That's looking great! I like the white cabinetry. That hood repair looks better than factory.

That pex line under the driver's feet might get old, though.

It'll be under the subfloor, you won't see it.

I bought a partially converted short bus last week. I'm driving it back to Florida next week (been in NC for the summer). Would love to all you some questions.

Wow ! that's looking pretty sharp in there.

Interesting little walls- I just assumed mine would go to the ceiling, but am reconsidering now as they look to let the air flow nicely.

Jackass plumbing- Sorry, I had to make a logo for your work trucks.

Yeah I was kind of in a rush and cut a lot of corners trying to make a deadline. Dont do that. I did it with my van too and regretted it. I LOVE natural light. It's one of the reasons I went with a bus. I didn't want the bedroom to feel like it was completely closed off from the rest of the bus, because the back doors open and give it so much flow. I wanted to be able to feel that flow and think this was the best way to achieve that.

It looks so rich finished like that

Bonus: The cutout makes a great cutting board!!! You could even add some tabs so it drops right into the sink opening when not in use.

I'm leaning toward butcher block for at least part of my counter. Thx for pics.

Looking really good! And I especially like the pencil groove paneling. I have it in my bachelor pad and I'm considering it for my bus as well.
