gadget i didn't know i had

so i drove my mom to go shopping,.. sitting in the bus i started to go through the console (bored !) I found this little led display and realized it would hook up to a small bracket and a wire sticking out of the overhead,.. hmm what is it?
i hooked it up,.. turned key on,.. does nothing,.. started the bus,.. still nothing,..shifted into reverse,.. it lights up and starts beeping and displays the distance to a car behind the bus,.. yaay!! I have a backup distance sensor!

planning on the camera in the future,.. ive got side cameras on the bus already (bus has like 8 cameras hooked to a recording system) my plan is to use the side ones and add a rear one,.. all i need is a good monitor to display them on (that and warm weather to work on bus in)
