Good Karma Bums - Skoolie newbies

Hi guys, I've been reading for weeks now. So much info, love it!
Planning my skoolie trip in about 3 years from now. It will be for 1-2 years with 1 wife and 1 puppy! Building and testing it in Quebec City, Canada.
Then all the way to Central America!
I've got 3 summers to buy/build/re-build/correct my mistakes.

Looking for a short bus with a high ceiling (6.2feet)

Now I would really need and appreciate your input to help with choosing our skoolie please.

https://tdrpmimages.azureedge.net/pr...6.jpg-1024x786

It is a 2003 Ford CTV 24 seats
engine 7.2 powerstroke
222 000 KM or 137 944.405 miles

I am deffinitely not a mechanic!
I will ask the seller to meet so I can see the bus.
What should I ask him?

Any input is welcome,
thank you!

Maybe you should ask for his service records.
That's a start...I'm sure others here will know more....

Welcome. As someone who's owned my bus for two years and give it about 60% completion, I'd say three years is a realistic goal to finish.

Do you have any hard requirements? Interior height? Length? At this stage, it's probably more important to find a solid mechanical bus that runs well, so focus on those questions. I myself would never buy from a private party without bringing in a third party to do an inspection (I bought from a bus dealership so I trusted them more... but it was also $2000 so I didn't really care too much).
