Must have been a site hiccup! I see them now. The bumper looks strange without the kiddy guard. It does look nice though. We still are imagining we can use it, so it stays for a bit longer.

I see no evidence that mine ever had one...
And I don't have the front tow hooks either -- those I kinda want...

I did not look at your undercarriage. Do you have rear tow hooks?

I do remember that front bracket making a good bit of a rattle, nice that is gone. Funny I did not see the pictures yesterday, but they are there today.

I keep thinking about repurposing one of those into a roof mounted antenna mast.. but recently we've been using cell phone internet instead of stealing wifi.

D'oh!
I misspoke -- I will blame it on the sun/heat...
I have front hooks. I don't have rear hooks.

LOL!!! I suppose if you gotta only have one,the fronts are the best to have.
I am sure you'll be able to find them at a local salvage yard that seem to be around your area. It would be nice to have one aroud here. It is a good hour and a half drive out to the nearest for us.

They're almost surely some generic item.
Took one of my corner mirrors off to see how it looks. I dig it. I'll probably remove the other side in a lil while. Its HOT out. Feels like the hottest its ever been.

I am still debating on the moon mirrors. I like the information they present. I have used them several times on this last trip when negotiating tight turns into/out of fuel stations.

I like them, but I dont. So thought I'd go ahead and try it since I have the luxury of time lol.
If I find I miss them I may try to find something that does the job but is less bulky. Possibly in chrome!

I have seen a few decent looking ones on semi rigs.

Yeah. I normally and 100% form over function. But I really want the aesthetics of this bus to be perfect.
On that note- I wonder what I'll have to do to get my front cap looking alright. Its smashed up pretty good.

A LOT of muscle power. I have done a little bodywork on our machine ... nothing like bending metal on an automobile at all. Any crinkle can be removed, it just takes time and effort.

My front cap took a hit from a big bird, no not "Big Bird", just an ordinary big bird, actually put a dent in it right at the top. Not to noticeable but will want to get the hammer and dolly out sometime and see what I can do with it. I think with the inside panel off I can get to it, at least I hope.
I am sure getting rid of the "moon" mirrors will look much better. They are there mostly to see children right in front as if they were up to the bumper.

Yes a lot of muscle -- when I said that tree dented my bus -- I was wrong -- all it did was scuff was the multi-layers of paint...
I think leaning to hammer & dolly while taking more muscle will be easier to learn and do on heavier metal -- it's more forgiving of your hammer marks. Thin metal will show every mark till you learn to be gentle and planishing...

Yeah. They're real nice for parking and also I glace at em on REAL narrow roads when I'm trying to see how close I am to the shoulder. But I'm getting pretty good at driving this thing.
MY front cap doesnt have a square inch that isn't bashed in some way. I think it had to have been a tree branch. Its also got a few good dents on the roof just aft the front cap.

I think a good camera system could provide all the information those mirrors provide. Without being the ugliest things on a bus.
A camera drone would be pretty cool, too. Imagine an aerial view of your parking job.

So I guess to proceed from here I gotta figure out how to best fill the 14" hole in my roof hatch delete panel. Gotta decide if I want a roof vent there or an ac unit. I really want two roof vents and a rooftop ac, so I'm thinking the ac would be best placed in the center.
Rooftop ac's have gone up a bit since I started looking at them several years ago.
Any reason to go with a 13.5 vs a 15k btu unit? Thinking if I'm only running one a 15k is the way to go. Looking like around $700-$800 for one.
Anyone had any bad experiences with Advent ac units?

People with 15k units claim they're significantly better than 13.5s. In either case I'd check marketplace and see if anyone is selling new-ish take off units, you can save a lot of money that way.
I got TWO 13.5k dometic brisk air II's for $225. Just ONE of these units online is $500 or so. Also keep in mind the interior panel is usually sold seperately so you need to factor that in if you haven't already.
Originally I was going to install the front unit in place of the front hatch but I ended up moving it up after reading reviews that said these units blow most of their cold air backwards. Plus I now get to keep one of the original hatches for easy roof access

All I'm finding in my area are $600+ for scratched up used units. Would pay $200-$300 for a nice used unit TOMORROW.
BTW- I really love the look of your bus.
