Help with raising roof!

Hi, I have a 2004 GMC Sav (5 windows, excluding drivers side window). I want to raise the roof by 6-12" or so but I can't find any videos or pictures of ppl who has done it on a short bus. I am wondering if you can give me any advice on how to do it? Do you recommend doing it at all? If so, how would you go about it? Have you or know someone who has done it? Of do you have a link or something/advice for me. Anything information is helpful.

Thanks.

I used the same method as the full sized buses to do my shorty. Weld some temporary "jacks" from 1" square steel tubing into the pillars, cut, lift, level, weld in new supports, remove jacks. Watch this guys videos, he's got a lot of info and details: https://youtu.be/ooGztjaHpMQ

The structure is the same as a full-sized bus so you'd do a roof raise the same way - just with fewer ribs to cut and splice. I think people don't generally raise the roofs on short buses because they're so packed with stuff inside that you don't do a lot of walking around anyway. But there's no reason you can't do a raise.

This seems a relatively reasonable deal if you want someone to come do it all for you.
