I had no intentions of buying an unconverted shorty..

But here I am.. It was too good of a deal IMO. I’ve been following the skoolie scene for a bit and wanted to buy a converted one. Saw the 1999 Chevy 3500 6.5L Diesel (4-window) as I was passing an auto shop and just pulled the trigger. It was bought and operated by a preschool, so maintenance wise they kept up with it. The title shows that it was bought with 243 miles on it, now it’s 145,000. No rust. Rear AC makes some noises but works.

Unfortunately, I don’t have time (working on an accelerated 1-yr masters program) to do the conversation myself. I’m looking for builders on the west coast. Is there anyone here willing who isn’t booked until 2022? I searched around the inter-webs and no luck, seems like Covid flooded the shops who have been doing this kind of stuff. if I can’t find someone to help me out I’ll most likely flip the bus for a nominal finders fee. Purchased in mountain home Idaho. He has one more. Driving it to Monterey, Ca this weekend.

Cheers!
Dave
