Looking for a door

I am soon to begin working on this project. I believe it is a 1951, its a Wayne body and am currently looking for a door to replace the screen one that is now on it.Any links or info would be most helpful thanks.

Re: Looking for a door

Hey Rich --- Welcome to the asylum! Great looking old Jimmy you have there. Very similar Wayne body to my '46 which also came with a "Hippie-Made" replacement door. I am fabbing up a steel framework for a new door right now. Soon discovered a Wayne trick...the body (at least on mine) has a couple of very, very slight angles that make framing a steel door tricky. You can see where I am on my Flickr album of you are interested.

You'll find lots of folks here with experience and savvy they are willing to share. I know I have. And please do keep us up on your progress. Once again...welcome.

Re: Looking for a door

dwood, I can't help too much but here is a link to a chevy that's about the same as yours with factory doors. (1952 2nd row, far right) Might give you some ideas. Tango, I'll take some pics of my doors this w/e and email them to you. Might help in your fab work. Good Luck to both of you. http://oldbus.us/Gallery/SchoolBuses...8/Default.aspx

[quote="lars larsen"] Tango, I'll take some pics of my doors this w/e and email them to you. Might help in your fab work. Never mind Tango, I just looked at your pics and see you are going with a different type of door. Thought maybe you were looking for the "factory" look
