Hello, there!
This is the build thread for my shorty, Mae. I've been working on her part time for the last few months. Here's the progress so far!
The day I brought her home! And my co-pilot, Naga, who immediately found some residual kid trash and claimed it as a dog treasure.
My dad and I removing the seats. We took the hard route and unbolted them from the floor instead of using and angle grinder to cut them out. My parents run a stall at an antiques mall, and they're always looking for stuff to upcycle. They wanted to keep the seats, repurpose them, and sell them in their shop, which meant we wanted to remove them without causing a lot of cosmetic damage, which meant a lot of crawling around under the bus for me!
Ripped the floors up by myself! A real total-body workout lol
Ripped out ceilings and insulation, so messy
Floors scuffed and shiny! Treated with Ospho afterwards.
Floors primed, patched, and painted!
Caught this little dude trying to drive away with the bus at some point.
Currently installing subfloors!
