Re: my 1992 E35 ford bus (GOLIATH)
thats what i did. infact i tried to put it on today... the spare tire holder is under there and welded to the frame and was in the way... just look under and see how far back the CHASSIS frame goes. mine goes almost all the way to the rear but not quite.

Re: my 1992 E35 ford bus (GOLIATH)
then you got lucky! just measure from outside of frame side to side and measure inside side to side. then also measure how much frame you have to use to mount to long wise. thats where my problem came in.

You'll also need a trailer to carry all the batteries you'll need to run that ...

Re: my 1992 E35 ford bus (GOLIATH)
You need to run a/C units off a generator or shore power. A 13.5kBTU air conditioner would require too many batteries/solar panels. We power a rooftop Coleman TSR (13.5K BTU) off a 2.5K generator. I would suggest that you use a 3K generator as your minimum size. There is very little power left when the A/C compressor kicks on at the same time as the refrigerator compressor. When the freezer compressor kicks on at the same time as the other two compressors, it drags the generator down almost to the stall point.
(We have an electric only refrigerator as well as an electric only freezer in our RV... ditto the skoolie except we have two refrigerators instead of one)

Re: my 1992 E35 ford bus (GOLIATH)
a 3k would probably be best. better to have the extra room rather then hitting the limiter all the time!

Re: my 1992 E35 ford bus (GOLIATH)
Honestly for getting the bus air working to me $2000 sounds excessive. Don't go to a regular automotive repair place. Try asking a place that actually does the bus units.
This is probably the best link I can find.

Re: my 1992 E35 ford bus (GOLIATH)
well, they said $2000 to fix the a/c in the bus becasue when I got it someone had put a new motor in it and there is no compressors, brackets, or a/c lines, just the unit that hangs on the bottom of the bus behind the drivers side of the bus and the piece that is in the roof on the back.
