Re: my 1992 E35 ford bus (GOLIATH)
I have a question. when I posted about getting a power inverter ppl said that I would have to have atruck load of batteries to run it, is that because the alternator and factoy batteries won't keep up with it? Just asking cause I don't know. Any help would be apperciated. thanks

Re: my 1992 E35 ford bus (GOLIATH)
yea, an inverter big enough to run an AC unit would have to be hooked to several batteries and would have to have constant charge to them anyhow. An AC draws about 12-15 amps at 110v. if you go roof top you need shore power or a genset that has enough capacity to take the "oomph" of the AC turning on load. it spikes pretty good!

Re: my 1992 E35 ford bus (GOLIATH)
We will be just running a portable AC unit off shore power from Wally World for between 300 to 400 bucks and drain it out the floor with tubing so there will be no emptying of containers etc. nice find you got there on the coleman though, the factory air is only for when the vehicle is running anyway and the coleman is for when you are camped plugged in I think. I'am too chicken to cut into my roof but may break down to put in a Maxx Air roof vent
