Re: My First Bus for tailgating

Be happy! You can get chassis parts from pretty much any auto outfit. My Class C is on a GMC Vandura 3500 chassis. All I have to do is go in a place like Auto Zone or Advance Auto , tell them my year, chassis, engine size (I have a gasser) and they can usually produce the item from stock. And the up side is if a part from Auto Zone or Advance craps out, I can get it replaced either at a reduced price or free (some things are worth getting the extended warranty).

Re: My First Bus for tailgating

I think you need some more mirrors up front.
LIE to your guy at Autozone--it makes life easier. You have a 1 ton chevy van. Period. Don't worry about telling them its a bus-a cutaway etc. It just confuses the "counterman" -they are just screen readers now. I have the same issue with mine--its an e-450 cutaway--they dont have any listings for that-so i just tell them its an e-350 van- the only difference is weight rating of the rear.

Nice looking bus! When you paint it, are you painting team colors or logos? What teams tailgates are you attending?
