my new shorty

Just purchased at auction from the school district. 1989 International. The bus has brand spankin new tires and a very good maintenance record. I spent all day today stripping, scrubbing, sanding, sealing and painting. Tomorrow I am hoping to install wood floors and some insulation. I have about two weeks to convert this thing into an RV before I go full time and move up to Vermont for the summer. I am hoping to get it livable and then continue to work on it over the summer, including a full WVO conversion. No concrete floor plans yet, although I am planning on putting in a full size bed, kitchenette, no bathroom for now. Still doesn't have a name. highlight= 550watt solar power being installed next week.

Re: my new shorty

just finished the floors. I put down 1/2" foam insulation and bolted 1/2" plywood over that and glued down the hardwood floors on top.

Looks great. Sounds like an adventure living inside while converting. Will stay tuned.
