Removed the Drip Guard above the windows. There were many spots where water was leaking directly to the windows.

Although the windows sealant looked OK, the trim between the window was nothing but an open water collector. I'm gonna call it 'Rain Pocket'.

We covered the Rain Pockets with putty tape (just a test), then we tested with the garden hose. The leaks from the windows were so minimal that we could hardly see them.

Sold and gone.
$2000 in the hole. Never again will I attempt a Bus conversion. Never.

A Flatbed, Utility or Cargo Trailer would be the way to go. Never a bus again.

Long story short! Don't do it. These things are built to complicate one's life, and to do nothing but leak.

Did I say 'don't do it'?

Just found your thread

I haven't been on this site in months. I just found your thread while looking for info on the Aerotech's second battery.

We started converting our '07 in December 2020 as well. Still in process - but time and money are limited!

We are also in East Tx. Near Pittsburg.

I am so sorry you had such a problem with yours. After removing the seats and interior, the first thing we did was to remove and reseal all windows. We also removed and resealed all exterior caulking around lights, seams, etc. Fortunately we have no known leaks.

I am currently working on installing the battery/electrical/solar power system. attached is a photo of a trip we took on New Year's Eve to Rowdy Creek Ranch vineyards. Our bus looks just like yours did!
