Re: Newbie!!

Hey Boog, welcome. Just start doing searches for what you may have a question about. Lots of pics in the gallery. Lots of help to be had here, and a lot of talent and thought put into some of these buses. We won't talk about money......

Re: Newbie!!

thanks everyone for making me feel welcome.
We live in the twin cities.
We store our bus about an hour north.
So we only get to work on it on the weekends.
Still got away to go yet.
What size water heaters do you use?

Thanks Boog

Re: Newbie!!

Wow you'all have been busy! Making great progress...
As far as tile floors, I know they use them in the stick n staple RV's sometimes. I think it would be easy to clean but not too warm on the feet in the winter but cool in summer - just don't get a white or anything light colored, bitch to keep clean... Would the tile have a tendency to crack? I don't know...

Re: Newbie!!

Do not use light colored tile or grout where you have high traffic unless you want to know when its time to clean the bus. I use to work at a tacobell that had light grey tiles and grout. While it didnt show light amounts of dirt, it became obvious when it was time to mop the floors half way through the day.

Only problem I see with anything cracking in the floor is going to be the grout. But they have flexing grout from what I remember, so it shouldnt be too much of a problem. If it does crack or chip or anything, you can always get one of those Vibro-tools that dont use blades to just remove the grout (and tile), then just re-grout that one area.

Re: Newbie!!

Not myself, but I got dragged past one of those tabletop demos for one. It seemed to work rather well. I know that they work well enough for cutting through bone in surgery, so I cant see grout or tile being any harder than bone.

Re: Newbie!!

My Mother uses one for her tile work. Loves it. She says it's very precise and it's much easier to take just one tile up instead of having to damage multiple tiles. She also uses it to install door handles & locks.
