Built a couple of I-beam saw horses out of scrap garage door pallets. Check garage door installers for giant 18 foot long pallets with two by fours. These saw horses will hold up a pallet to work as my workbench while I build the hitch. They are almost idiot proof to build

Working on a hitch. Everything else on the bus will bend before the 6x6 angle and the 3x3 1/4.

It uses the regular hitch. The centerpieces from a class 5 Universal hitch. I don't know where I got it but I've been carrying it around for about six years. I've got the other brackets on the frame. The vertical part of the frame brackets and the angle iron on the hitch lineup , just need to get some 3x3 angle to connect them and the hitch will have 8 bolts total holding it on. It has about 6 inches between the ball and the bumper. 
I don't really ever plan on towing a trailer just tow bar on a Jeep

how far do you have to drop the ball for the towbar?
On my bus, I will have a significant drop for the car hauling trailer.
I am building it out of 6" channel bolted to outside of frame rails sloping down to clear underside of the bumper.
Then a 3x5x1/4 wall rect. tube in between.
With the receiver tube welded under the rect. tube.

I will probably want to raise the ball on mine a bit. The shortest jeep we're towing is lifted 4.5" and on 33" tires and my short bus is pretty low. (Assuming the tow bar should be level. Going to towbar so we dont need a trailer/trailer weight savings). I have a drop hitch that i can flip to get the height.
We should be towing the yellow or black jeep when we vacation.

Got our 110 wired today. Not much there, just the double outlet box wired to a plug on the outside for the generator/campground plug in.
Also put our little 400w inverter up, and a surplus school fan to help stir the air.
Still need to mount the spare battery in the back.

My 400w inverter is wired to the the old ac blower power wire at the back of the bus. The switch above the drivers seat turn it on. I guess load testing with led christmas lights wont really work.

There is still a lot to do but it felt good to clean it out for a few pictures. Lots more wiring to do this week period speaker boxes will be in on Tuesday for some six and a half inch speakers on the back wall.

I had a front fender marker bulb out, it flashes with the turn signal, and i had some LED clearance lights. So...because i wanted brighter lights....

I bought and installed a front mounted 2" receiver hitch. Mounted my spare to the front. And it transfers some weight up to the front.
