Re: Rear bedroom "U" Cut plywood How?
yeha.. as posted before, you take cardboard (or maybe heavy paper for a starter) and make a cardboard template the exact curvature of your wall.. you gotta do the side and the ceiling in one piece of cardboard - or glue them up together. anyways ya gotta have a template that is an exact for for half of the bus, and you gotta check it on both sides...
you can then make the plywood cuts from that template, and to get an exact plywood fit, you take your 40 or so grit grinder and make the plywood fit exact if you wish. you might not be that picky if you are planning to calk the seam...
you can screw in plywood strips 3/4 thick x 2 inches wide with serf cuts about half an inch apart to make the curve section - this is screwed into the ceiling where your plywood wall screws to.. just dont use screws long enough to go through the main roof... try something like 1 1/4 ones.. drywall screws will screw through the inside bus roof without using a drill to predrill the holes... its like 24 ga - pretty light.. always predrill all your wood, though so it won't split.
ya can also use screws to the floor as well, but the floor is 18 or so ga, and has to be pedrilled unless you use those heavy metal self tappers. when drilling the floor, dont use real long screws either as ya got fuel, air, elect, lines under it.... you screw down... not under the bus upwards...
have fun..
