Reversing Freedman Fold Away Seats
Hi- I'm pretty new here, but I looked at FAQ's and haven't found an answer, so here goes.... We are converting a tiny Blue Bird, with just 14' feet for our family of three. I want to add side by side seats as close to the curbside front as possible, and have them fold up like the Freedman Fold Away seats, with a 3 pt. seat belt. My problem is that the vast number of double fold away seats are made for the drivers side, as the wheelchair generally enters the bus on the curb side, and the seat folds up against the wall to accommodate the wheelchair. When I do locate a set for the curb side they are usually for local pickup only at least several states away. So here's my question: Can the base hardware on a Freedman fold away seat be removed, turned and reinstalled to change a driver's side seat to a curb side seat? Has anyone ever tried? OR, does anyone have a curb side they'd like to part with? Thanks for reading this long explanation- and I know someone in this vast group must have thought of this before me, so thanks in advance!
