"...even with a 4.78 rear and a 34" (the 265)tire the RPM calc says id be at 1875 RPM in 6th gear at 65 MPH..."

Sounds like pretty good numbers to me(?).

I got my bus up to 67 REAL quickly when I tried it out after Chris fixed the speed in the computer.
I'm gonna lose a bit off the line with bigger tires, but it will give me better mpg's and lower rpm's at cruising speed. The ground clearance is my main concern. I need a bus that's dirt road capable. This one would bottom out the stair well pretty easily as it is.

Its such a nice little bus! I can't wait to get it fixed and paint it. Should be about as easy to prep and paint as a skoolie gets. The body is SOLID!

Offered to trade you my 3.90 rear end before, just have to find out if you have a Spicer s150 rear axle

Got 3 sheets of 18ga in 4x10. Cost me $160 and took a few weeks, but now I've got enough steel to do lots of bus stuff. I'll seal my leaking roof hatch and that dumb passive vent sometime soon.

That's dirt cheap- did they fall off a truck?

I need a deal like that. I paid more for a single sheet of 16 ga 4x10 than you paid for 3.

I get them at wholesale at the steel shop where I used to work. My stepdad and a bunch of my friends work there so I still get the deals. Just takes patience.
Took me a month to get this stuff.
Weird no one seems to have 18ga around here anymore. I used to cut lots of it. 16ga is as thin as most steel suppliers around here carry.
I did find a place in Orlando that has 18ga but they wanted $100 for a 4x8!

Nah, with the wedding and everything going on I'm gonna have to wait.

Just spent a lot of money on stuff that comes in the aqua blue box.

Priorities!

I'm trying to work out how to carry a couple blue seats to the meetup for you. Might actually put them on the scooter rack as we're not bringing the scooter. THey're sitting with a tarp over them but man it's been raining a lot. If I carry 2 do you want left + right or both left or ?

One right, one left. I'm wanting at least three eventually. Two for a dinette (a right and left) and one Right side for an extra seat for passengers. If you could spare four of them and they're still nice I'd be in seat heaven.
Shaun and I could come get a few if need be.

Thought one of these would look nicer than a plain band, to go with her Tiffany platinum solitaire engagement ring. Something about jewelry in that little blue box... We're not really materialistic people, we're no into style or fashion, but if I'm spending the $$ on jewelry I go with the Tiff n Co.

If you're studied up on stones and jewelry be sure to check out the pawn shops. It's interesting if nothing else.

I don't patronize pawn shops. Around here they charge full retail for folks' stolen stuff. I'm not participating in any of that. Had my stuff stolen while I was at work one day. House was burglarized. It was all at the pawn shop, but the cop said the pawn shop had all the rights and that they operate almost "above the law".
I am cheap, but not when it comes to buying a few NICE things in life.
All jewelry is just marked up anyhow. I don't buy name brand stuff much, but for my Roxy, I splurge and get her the best I can. Sorta like my bus.

Feb one has been sorta left in limbo and forgotten. Wedding is coming up too fast.
But you should come to the wedding.

Maybe a march or april "spring bus rally" is in order?
