I can pick them up and take them. Are they flying into Hobby or Bush airport? Bush is the big airport on the No. side of town, where Hobby is smaller and on the So. side. Cleveland is north of Houston. Just let me know where and when, and I'll be there.

Maybe its just me, but I find the wheelchair lift busses go for less money than ones that are not.

I paid quite a bit for an auction shorty. But a bus like this on Ebay, CL, or a dealer would be a lot more.

I think the reason I got redbyrd so cheap was because its a shorty without a wheelchair lift... the other busses in that auction with lifts went for twice the money with identical drivetrains.

If anyone wants a similar short bus with 466 there are three in Naples FL listed on ebay.
They're higher mileage with high hours, though.

I'd still get up off my wallet if I find a bus like that with the for wheel drive option.

I didnt find them when i looked.. how many hours / miles? when i was logged into dead pirate;s DT466 this weekend it said the motor has 281,000 miles on it but you sure wouldnt know it by hearing it run... sounds like a new engine.. just purrs along..
the DT466 has a Long life when treated well.

They're all 250k++ miles, one is like 300k++. All have 11k-15k hours.
If the prices stay low maybe I'll buy one for spare parts.
I'm not scared of a 466 with 250k on it, but I'm sure happy mine only has 182k. Seems to me that I see PLENTY of these running with 350k on them. Hopefully I can treat this bus nice and get decades of use out of it.

PM sent. I'm no longer posting links to buses for sale.
That overpriced one has been on there a long while.
Even for FL they're asking WAY TOO MUCH!

When you're talking about 300k and up, maintenance habits really start to matter. It's not hard to get 500k if you stay on top of it, but not everybody does. If you're doing 25k miles per year, that 120k difference between yours and theirs works out to an extra 5 years!

CB, I hope your buddy checks the oil, coolant and battery levels before he starts it up and heads back. Too bad it's not you on the maiden voyage, that sucks eh? Oh well.....get well soon and hope for the best. Would be awesome to see how it performs coming home. How many miles is that run?

What I find funny is that the overpriced shorty on Ebay is basically what I just bought for $4700 with fees, only they want 12,999. If the mileage is correct I'd say its worth $7k or so on a good day.

Supposedly 74,000 original miles but no way to know without looking in the computer.

I'm so excited!
They're picking up the bus this morning and will start heading this way. Thanks to 1Oldfart aka Harry for being so kind as to pick them up and take them to the bus!!!
Roxy and I are finally starting to get over this cold. I still have congestion but I'm a smoker. Gotta quit soon.
Should be a fun weekend getting to know the new bus. Never thought I'd have a 2004, this thing looks to be pretty fancy by my standards. They did get a couple details wrong in the listing, like they originally thought it had 11R's on it. I asked for pics and then determined it had low profiles on it. I'm hoping their claim of 215 HP is correct. That's about as much as you want to put through a 2000 series from what I can find.
