Roof Coating - Short Bus/Canada

Hi All,

We have two questions:

First - Did anyone with a short bus (5 window) use elastomeric coating on their roof? If so - how much did you go through?

Second - We are in Canada so Henry Tropicool is out of the picture for us. We are thinking about going with Durock Coolflex as it has the highest reflectivity rating of all options here. Has anyone used it? It is Green and good for Leed cert (not that we are going for that but shows how good it is) as well as made in Canada about 2 hours away from us

Other top options we are looking into are Rustoleum LeakSeal Elastomeric Coating (7, 10 or 17 year warranty) and Bakor (aka Henry) SolarFlex.

Only the Rustoleum can we get in Gallons where the other two have to be 5 Gallons minimum hence the question on how much you used

Thanks for you insight you can provide

We just coated our 6 window bus with 2.5 gallons of Henry's Tropicool. It seemed to put a good coat on it, hard to get it even on the sides but should be fine still.

If you get some seam sealer and get it all sealed up you won't need rubberized coatings to "seal" the roof.
