Haven't messed with mine but it looked decent when I replaced the batteries. The sliders could probably use a good greasing.

It's the same consistency as water. I did my floor in sections, and had a hard time keeping the ospho from spreading out and running over the already painted areas.

That's what the directions say too. Corroseal is maybe a little thicker than water. Looks like a cross between milk and oatmeal water. The color of No Fat milk and about as thick as the water from cooking really runny oatmeal. For what it's worth, it could also be used thru a bug sprayer.

This bus had dead batteries when I got it, so I'll likely wait a couple years till the new ones die before I repaint the tray and compartment.
Summer is over and the weather is easing up. Gonna get some paint on this bus!
Going green and white. Celtic FC colors!

Man, it sure is hard to pick which bus we want to keep.
Low miles on a 3126/545
or-
226k on a DT466E/2000 that will need some work.

Decisions, decisions!!!

I'm leaning more toward the Cat right now. I could throw a few transit seats in it, paint it, slap some tires on it and call it done.

We'll see how this winter goes, I guess.

The bus is still certified to haul kids till Nov!

all depends on whether you want to rebuild that 466.. or if you get any decent offers to buy it.. if you end up going for scrap with it, thats when you yank the allison 2000 out of it and swap it into your freight-shaker... then you have a 3126 with a 2000 and a highway screamer..

With the 2000 and my 4.11 rear it really would be a screamer on the interstate, eh?

I'd lose AC, but maybe you could help me out in that dept?

I think I could sell the IC and get our money back out of it no problemo.

They are paid for; live in one and drive the other!!

If trannies can be swapped, ACs would be a piece of cake. List them both at 50-100% more than you're willing to take and see what happens. Nothing says you have to go thru with it.

If I were gonna live in one I'd find a 40' with a mediocre engine/trans combo and park it.
I'm not really a "tiny house" person. I like to have at least a thousand square feet.

We probably will get a 40 footer when we finally do get some land. Or maybe we'll buy Kubla's Wanderlodge...

For a house I completely agree. I've spent months looking at listings. It's funny seeing a 3 bdrm that is listed as 750 sq feet. That's a typo, it's more like a 3 closet house.

For a tiny house, I dunno how I would do. Might go batshit insane inside of 6 months tho I had a 1 bd apartment that was tiny as hell.

Ok, its a deal lol.

One MAJOR bummer is the price of tires. They went up substantially. I almost bought a set a few months ago from Simple Tire. They were $200 each free shipping. Now chinese tires are almost as expensive as name brand!

Like him or hate him, I'm not sure the tariffs are a bad idea. We have been a society of consumers too long now. The imports go high enough in price and someone in the states will have to start manufacturing again. That's how it's supposed to work in the long term. Whether that happens or not remains to be seen.

All I know is I need tires and can't afford them anymore. $350 installed is the price for tires now. Thats a bummer.

Mine is on cinder blocks; does that make it a mobile home?

As I recall, my oldest tire has two years left on it if going solely by date. They all look good and the ones in direct sun have covers on them. I haven't felt that pain yet.

the tariffs is why I sprung for 6 chinese tires when i did on my Superior.. even though I knew the bus will likely sit most of the time over the winter. (crappy freezing ohio BS... ) but wanted to beat the big cvhunk of change increase on anything chinese..
