Short bus? Why not.

I have been looking for a bus for a couple of months now and havent thought about a short bus at all untill this weekend when i seen one on CL. I have over looked it a dozen times because i have been looking for one on a med duty chassis. Its a 1989 gmc with a 350 and only 11,000 on the clock. You herd me right only 11k miles under her with maintnance records to proove it. already titled as an rv and got it for a song at $950

School Bus - $1250

Sounds gr8. Looking & saving $$$for short bus. Want at least one electrical wall outlet with 2 sections to charge cellphone, laptop or small toaster oven etc. How would that be put in and work. Composting toilet, running water I know about that.

Good solid platform. I'd worry about the tires being 16 years old-no matter how few miles on them. Other than that, you got many years of easy maintance. I got many years with my 85 GMC 14' box truck. Plan on getting 8-9 mpg.

Did you convert the box truck to live in?

They're cheap compared to BIG bus tires.

No. It was a race car hauler in the back 9 ft-the front 5ft were benchs + table that dropped down into a bed. Weekend camper.
